"Keep The Dream Alive," a music video directed by Oliver J. Crooms IV, is now an Official Selection for the Indie Fest USA International Film Festival in Southern California.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Oct. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Oliver J. Crooms IV, president of On The Beat Entertainment, is no stranger to the arts. Oliver is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and holds a bachelors degree in Fine Arts in Music Business Management and Merchandising. Before he founded On The Beat, Oliver took time to develop his on the field experience with multiple internships. He worked with Reflections Studios in Charlotte NC, Hinge Studios in Chicago, IL (where he witnessed a mixing session with Kanye West) and Motown Gospel (formerly EMI Gospel) in Nashville, TN.
In 2013 Oliver partnered with his mother (Grammy nominated vocalist) Arnetta Murrill-Crooms as executive producer for her self-titled album and music video "Try It Again." The music video was nominated for Best Music Video for both the NC Black Film Festival and Charlotte Black Film Festival. Since then, Oliver was inspried to create a video department within On The Beat and produced promotional videos for businesses, music artists and non-profit organizations. In 2015 he partnered with Charlotte native artist Devon Murrill to develop a music video for Devon's first single "Keep The Dream Alive." "Keep The Dream Alive" was filmed in in Charlotte, NC.
"Keep The Dream Alive" is now nominated under the Best Music Video category for the 2015 Indie Fest USA International Film Festival. Indie Fest takes place in Garden Grove California from October 16th through October 18th 2015. Oliver Crooms is very excited about his first directorial debut being nominated for an IMDB qualifying festival and looks forward to a bright future in filmmaking. As far as what he plans to do next, he says "Other than experiencing the joy of working alongside great people on music and video projects, I'm in the beginning stages of script-writing for a short film I'm developing. It’s a dramatic piece and I'm very excited about it."
